שברי זיכרונות, רישומים אוטומטיים, אריזות צבעוניות, מוצרי פופ, צמר, פרווה, לֶבֶד ועוד ועוד – משמשים את האמנית הקנדית Sonja Ahlers ביצירות האמנות שלה. כמו DJ מעולה, גם היא משתמשת בחומרים קיימים ויוצרת בעזרתם טראקים מפתיעים וייחודיים. לצד ארנבוני פרא חביבים, המוצעים למכירה, היא יוצרת גם ספרונים, שהייחודי בהם הוא ללא ספק ספר הפרווה העמוס בפרטי פרטים מענגים. סוודר אנגורה ורוד מיושן וקצת שעמום היו טריגר ראשון ליצירת ארנבון, ומאז הם לא מפסיקים להתרבות. ב-2000 חדרה לתודעת הוונקוברים בתערוכת יחיד ראשונה בשם: "כל מה שיש לי נמצא בחדר הזה", ומאז היא לא מפסיקה לסמפל אמנות ולקוות לטוב. אפשר להציץ בבלוג שלה.

Hi Sonja; it goes like that Memory fragments, sketches, colorful wraps, pop items, wool, fur, felt and more – all serve Canadian artist Sonja Ahlers in her art work. Like a superb DJ, she too uses available materials and creates with them surprising and exceptional tracks. Alongside amiable wild bunnies (up for sale), she also creates books, most unique among them is without doubt the fur book, brimming with delightful details. An old pink angora sweater and a bit of boredom served as a first trigger to create a bunny, and they've been reproducing ever since. In 2000, she came to the awareness of Vancouverites with a first solo exhibition: Everything I Own is in This Room, and since then she keeps on sampling art and hope for the best.
